About us

For those who care

Magnus L Andersson

Amateur photographers with an interest in the life that goes on around us. We don’t believe, like Godard, that photography is truth, but more, as Stieglitz expressed, trying to capture by photography “a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality” and to cite Avendon “none of them is the truth”.

For Ann-Marie, the image is the main interest, but for Magnus, who cares for the post-processing, the technology is as important. He is especially interested in the transition towards a “good” picture being the result of human efforts and not the outcome of AI-supported focusing or exposure. Hence, he tends to appreciate the simplicity of the Leica monochrome and analog cameras, at the same time as he doesn’t hesitate to spend hours using software to achieve the results not expressible by the original photo as long as he is in charge of the process.

Main cameras: Leica M Monochrom, Leica M-A and HTC U11

Main lenses: Leica Summilux-M 35 mm f/1.4 ASPH, Leica Summaron-M 28 mm f/5.6, Leica Macro-Elmar-M 90 mm f/4 and Zeiss C Sonnar T* 50 mm f/1.5 ZM

Main software: Adobe Creative Suite (Lightroom, Photoshop), 3D LUT Creator, AI Studio 8 (SilverFast) and ImagePrint 10 (Colorbyte Software)

Main hardware: Plustek 120 (film scanner), Epson 3880 (printer), Eizo Coloredge CG275W (monitor)
